Purpose and scope
Spavik is operated by NEBERIS CONSULTING, a French single-shareholder simplified joint-stock company (SASU), with a share capital of €1,000.00. Its registered office is at 5 Rue des Mésanges, 93220 Gagny, France. Company registration: 981 362 734 R.C.S. Bobigny. VAT number: FR86981362734.
Spavik lets developers evaluate structured data, create prediction models, request predictions and forecasts, and report observed outcomes. It is available through a REST API, Python and JavaScript SDKs and an MCP server.
The service is intended for professional customers: companies, and individuals acting for their trade, business or profession. It is not offered to consumers.
By creating an account, using an API key or subscribing to a plan, you accept these terms. If you accept them for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it.
Account and API keys
You sign in with a one-time link sent by email or with a Google account. You provide accurate information and keep your account email address up to date.
Usage keys (sk-spv-api-) create models, request predictions and read results. Admin keys (sk-spv-admin-) manage keys, webhooks and billing settings and cannot request predictions. Each key belongs to one workspace and only opens that workspace.
A key is shown once, when it is created. Keep keys on your server, never in browser or mobile code or in a public repository. If a key may have been exposed, create a new one and revoke the old one. You are responsible for requests made with your keys until they are revoked.
Subscribing, changing plan, cancelling and buying credits require you to be signed in to the platform. API keys cannot perform these actions.
How the service works
Evaluation tells you whether a table contains enough signal to predict a target. Training creates a model; each training produces a new version. Model predictions and forecasts are billed in credits. Training, evaluation, backtests, outcome reporting, refreshes and reads are free.
A model keeps prepared examples from your data as context and consults them when it answers. Archiving a model keeps its versions, context and outcomes and frees a slot in your plan. Deleting a model is permanent.
Prediction engines have a status: default, preview, deprecated or retired. Preview and deprecated engines must be requested by explicit version. A deprecated engine shows its retirement date; once retired, it can no longer be used.
Spavik does not provide a history of past predictions. Keep the inputs and results you need in your own application.
Your data
You keep all rights to the data you submit and to the predictions returned to you. You grant Spavik the rights needed to process that data to provide the service and, where your plan’s data policy allows it, to improve Spavik’s models.
You must have the necessary rights and, where required, a legal basis to submit your application’s data. Send only the columns your predictions need.
Do not submit special categories of personal data (such as health data, biometric data or data revealing ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs or sexual orientation) or data about criminal convictions, unless agreed in writing with Spavik.
When your data contains personal data, Spavik processes it on your behalf as a processor within the meaning of Article 28 of the GDPR, under the privacy policy. Customers who need a signed data processing agreement can request one at hello@spavik.co.
Acceptable use
You must not access another account’s resources, share keys outside your organisation, get around plan limits, overload or attack the service, reverse engineer the platform, or resell raw access to the API as a competing service.
You remain responsible for decisions made with predictions. When a decision has legal or similarly significant effects on a person, it must not rest on a prediction alone.
Using predictions
A prediction is an estimate based on supplied data. It does not guarantee that an event will occur or that a future value will match the returned result.
You evaluate results in the context of your application, check data quality and put in place controls suited to decisions based on those results.
Plans, credits and billing
Plans set capabilities and limits, including the number of active models and the credits included each month. Credits pay for usage. Prices are those shown on the pricing page, in US dollars, excluding taxes. Subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe, monthly or annually depending on the price you choose, and renew automatically until cancelled.
A model prediction costs the engine’s credit price for each scored row: one credit on the default engine. A forecast costs one credit for each requested horizon step, per call, with all series included.
Included credits renew every month, including on annual billing, and are used before your credit balance. Unused included credits do not carry over to the next month. Purchased credits are added to your balance and do not expire. Credits can be bought on any plan, including Free, in multiples of 100, at your plan’s price per 1,000 credits.
The Free plan includes a one-time grant of credits at signup. Signup credits cannot be bought, renewed or refunded, and are granted once per email address, even if an account is deleted and created again.
When included credits and your balance are used up, billed requests return the error 402 CREDITS_EXHAUSTED until you buy credits or change plan.
On automatic retries, the SDKs reuse the same idempotency key so that a retried request is not charged twice. This protection lasts 24 hours.
Subscription fees and purchased credits are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. If a payment fails, the plan’s limits are not available until it succeeds.
Spavik may change its prices for future billing periods. Customers are informed by email at least 30 days before the change applies to their subscription and may cancel before it takes effect.
Plan changes and cancellation
Moving to a higher plan takes effect immediately. Stripe prorates the price for the current billing period.
To move to a lower plan, contact hello@spavik.co.
When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. Your account then moves to the Free plan.
Account closure and suspension
To close your account, write to hello@spavik.co from the account’s email address. Closure is permanent: it cancels your subscription, purges your models and deletes your workspaces, API keys and webhooks. Remaining purchased credits are lost and are not refunded.
Spavik has no data export function. Before closing your account, keep a copy of the data and results you need.
Spavik may suspend an API key or an account without notice in case of a security risk, abuse or a breach of these terms, and informs the customer as soon as possible. In case of a serious or repeated breach, Spavik may close the account after an email notice that has gone unanswered for 15 days.
Intellectual property
The platform, API, documentation, engines and models remain the property of NEBERIS CONSULTING. These terms grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them for the duration of your account.
The Python and JavaScript SDKs are distributed under the Apache 2.0 licence.
Spavik may freely use the suggestions and feedback you send about the service.
Availability and support
Spavik provides the service with reasonable care and skill. Standard plans do not include a service level commitment. When an engine is unavailable or busy, the API returns a 503 error and the request can be retried later.
Spavik may change the service, add or retire features, engines and API fields. Engine retirements are announced with a retirement date.
The level of support depends on your plan. Service level and support commitments for Enterprise customers are set in their contract.
Liability
Spavik is not liable for indirect damages, such as loss of profit, revenue, data, customers or business opportunity, or for decisions made on the basis of predictions.
Spavik’s total liability, for all claims combined, is limited to the amounts paid by the customer for the service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These limits do not apply in case of gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or where the law does not allow liability to be limited. Neither party is liable for a failure caused by force majeure as defined by French law.
Changes to these terms
Spavik may update these terms. Material changes are notified by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law.
For a complaint, contact hello@spavik.co with enough information to identify the issue, such as the request_id returned by the API. Do not include API keys or sensitive data.
If a dispute cannot be settled amicably within 30 days, it will be brought before the competent courts within the jurisdiction of the Paris Court of Appeal.
